Pioneer Square Loft is a private condominium remodel in Seattle, Washington. The concept looked to push all of the program to the exterior walls in order to maximize open space. The client is intending to keep the apartment for the rest of his life, but to never live in it full time, and so it became necessary to design for his evolving interests and needs, as well as his temporal state of inhabitance.

The space needed to accommodate working, dining, living, cooking, bathing, as well as a sauna and steam room within 850 square feet. In an effort to keep the space as timeless as possible, the finish palette was based upon monochromatic tones that differed in their tactile and material quality.
